Our newest - and hottest sauce. We've been working on this for a wee while, and we're really excited about it. The feedback has been incredible - pretty much everyone who tries it, buys it...
It's got a gorgeous balance of a fruity base with loads of interesting herbs, spices and citrus notes, and we think you'll love it. It's vegan, and goes great with roasted veg, pasta, as well as pizzas, eggs, and pretty much all meats. It's a perfect partner for chorizo too.
It's got lots of Ghost chillis in there to crank up the heat levels, but as you'd expect from us, it's full of flavour as well.
What's a 'Bawheid'? In keeping with our Scottish slang names, a bawheid is basically an airhead. A 'baw' is a ball, and your 'heid' is your head, so if you call someone a bawheid, you're literally saying their head's like a ball - full of air.
As a connoisseur of hot sauce I have tried a lot of brands but the Bawheid is probably as close to perfection as it gets. Lovely fruity base with added depth from the spices. It has an initial hit with an added slow burn that compliments the full flavour profile. I use it on scrambled eggs, in sandwiches and with BBQ. Super versatile and a firm favourite.
I bought the Bawheid and Roaster sauces and I have to say these are THE BEST hot sauces I have ever had. They are packed full of flavour with a nice heat to them. I find most hot sauces are just hot with no flavours. These are gorgeous and great additions to dishes. I can’t recommend these enough. Absolutely outstanding.
